I put two pennies of the same year on the ground and one on top of them with the rim of it covering the two coins below it. It's interesting what happened here. First, the 2 coins below are very bent. Secondly the top coin had zero damage to it. That was wierd. Where the two coins touched the pavement, the field was very distorted and increased the diameter of the coin. It would also seem that the rim is much wider on the coin I made rather than the valley on the original coin.
The original coin in the post is not bent nor has this damage on the reverse. Maybe they put it in a vice?
