Token does not bear a monetary value designation. Token is marked on obverse with an unidentified luxury liner and 3 dolphins (on what appears to be highly polished aluminum)with the outside rim (appearing to be copper) stating "luxury cruise .999 silver hsp" in raised lettering (also 6 stars). The reverse is marked with a sunken treasure with a mermaid reaching into an open chest, 2 fish, a starfish, a shipwreck and anchor with the outside rim stating "sunken treasure .999 silver hsp" (also 4 stars). And, token is confirmed to date from 2005 or earlier as individual who owned it passed that year.

Please, any and all info would be greatly appreciated?

They're called silver strikes and are a collectible token paid out by some slot machines.
Lots of info here: http://www.silverstrikers.com/

did you take the outer ring off of the token or was it off when you received it? if you did so was there some reason you did this? Just trying to figure out if yours is like the one in the ebay auction mentioned above with a different Reverse design or what it is. If it is silver it seems the ring is the only thing that identifies it as such so removing the ring just would put a question in a persons mind if it was actually a silver token or not because there are no markings on the coin itself identifying it as such.

Edit: did some searching and found this one on ebay with the exact same design http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...PWJQgUo%253D
and also found this http://www.silverstrikers.com/Web/C...Page-02.php/ and this nis the information about the .999 silver HSP token like yours
