Nice hints of green toned mixed with the deep red. I like the fact that is in the original celo so there is no dispute as to its originality.

Wow. That is sweet looking. I've always been partial to red toning myself.

The pack has not been tampered with has the envelope and inserts. We looked over the cello carefully and could not see anything unusual about it.

Sweet coins Grovey! I love how the toning is almost the same exact color as the penny!

That color does not seem right for those coins. It's quite possible they've been somehow treated, probably by heat. That is not an NT color typically for those coins.

I'm curious about what happened to the dime!!!! It must have been immunized before it was packed to stop any type of coloring, or was it protected somehow against what colored the remainder of the set. I have been looking at 1962 proofs for over forty years and have never seen anything that comes close to this. I have in mind about the story of the duck, I personally doubt the originality of the toning. If it is for real, that is the greatest oddity that I have seen in over 50 years of coin collecting.

It coild be due to they way they were stored. the packaging is NOT TAMPERED WITH.I do not know why the dime did not tone. If you look at the reverse the toning starts about 1/4 of the way up from the Franklin. It looks like only the top 2 silver coins toned and the bottom "dime" did not.I don't know. anyone else have a opinion ?

It very well could have been AT'd inside the packaging. Coin doctors figured out how to AT coins while inside PCGS holders, so they probably could figure out something. Very, very cool nonetheless.

The only thing I can say is, I bought them because they popped out at me and I really liked them.I thought that was the main reason we buy these things.
The bottom line is IF they turn out to be somehow at the worst case is I'm out a whopping $14.00...OOOPS THAT'S WHAT A 62 PROOF SET GOES FOR ANYWAY
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.............

I would have bought it, (at the right price)and it appears that you did. However, the set could have been AT while intact. That is definitly not a natural color. I have some absolutley outstanding toned coins that are AT, and I still like them. Here is one I am not sure of:Check-Out-The-Toned-Proof-Set-I-Picked-Up-Today-!

I think they are pretty cool! I am no expert on AT, but as long as you like them, CONGRATS!
