I'm thinking VF-35 - mainly due to the wear to the shield and leg. I want to go higher due to the overall attractiveness of the coin (looks like there are even some hints of luster?), but those areas hold it back.

I'm thinking EF-40, with fair amount of luster in the protected areas of the fields. The very flat head suggests the strike was soft so some of the detail weakness is likely strike-related.

I'm actually kind of surprised because to me it looks like it has most of the luster and even a carthweel. The detail is so weak.

Mind posting a larger version of the obverse? It's definitely an interesting coin in terms of wear vs weak strike.
I can see where the cartwheel would be - just needs a little more lighting to bring it out more.

I had this at a minimum of AU-53. To me, it just didn't look like it had much actual wear (since the luster is not dulled much), but rather strike issues.

It's a bit tough to tell without being able to take a closer look at the areas of the weak strike - the difference could very well be a matter of needing to see it in person.
