Can anyone help me with this?

Bulgarian-Medallion

Bulgarian-Medallion
It is 28 mm 9.3 gr. base metal. The gold finish is very good and as far as I know it's a Bulgarian medallion featuring Ferdinand and dates from 1914-18.
It's the date that makes me unsure. Condition might suggest a more recent date, like last year.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Bob

This is an official medal "for merit". This one is the lowest class for such medals and is fairly common. Practical market value without the original ribbon is in the $20 to $30 range. I have seen a few on ebay listed for higher prices, but none have sold.

Yea, good deal for $5. The condition is really where the value is. If it were all stained up or corroded it would not even be worth the five.

Medal of Merit with Crown - Ferdinand, with a strip of Cross for bravery, because it is given during the war. Is equivalent to medals for military service at the discretion of the General Staff of the Army of 1916.
