I've got a couple ugly, heavily circulated CC Morgans. Got them for a song pretty much. What do you think of these?

I'm game, not much of a grader but always willing to improve my skills.

1878: net good, because of the scratches on the face and rim ding. Otherwise VF20
1890: VF20
1891: VG10

What I love about these is that you know they circulated in the west. The real West. They probably spent their time in more than one Saloon; were carried by a Cowboy; paid to Miner as part of his wages. Could have been in the San Francisco Earthquake. Or even rested in the poke of a Calvary Man, patroling the Frontier. Great coins!
Rest in Peace

There really are not that ugly, in my opinion.

What's ugly about them? They are better dates in the series, the 78-CC is a little banged up, on the other two I just see honest wear. Circulated coins have their own aura about them that's hard to ignore, especially Morgans. The circulation cameo of the 91 is especially attractive. Good buys!

Anything but ugly, I think they're nice examples of circulated dollars. Agree with jmkendall, they may have great Americana history!

Is that a lamination on the bottom rev. on the '90?

Alright, I'll concede these aren't the ugliest of coins. I guess I'm just self-conscious about my coins :) However, the cuts on Ms. Liberty's face in the 78-CC upset me a bit. But I did get these for a good price I believe ($50-$60 each).

Wonderful, character-filled coins, and CC's to boot. At $50-60 each, you will make no better additions to your collection. I'd have them in an instant.

I think you did good. I like the first one best, for the darker grey color.
