We have not been able to find anything quite like this anywhere. This is my first post so please let me know if I have done anything wrong. This medal measures 5 CM in diameter. It weighs 1.8 oz on my postal scale. I don't think it is silver. Please note the initials below the date 1931. Any help you can offer will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well, my Latin is rather rusty.... (I guess being Jewish helps), but it's a medal commemorating the 400th anniversary of Juan Diego seeing the Virgin of Guadaloupe on Tepayac Hill. I haven't seen this one, that I remember, but since the V of G is a big, big deal in Mexico, these sorts of medallions were cranked out heavily. Unless it's silver, I wouldn't spend too much time on it.
