So far I don't have any commemoratives, but I've been wanting to pick up a Texas one since first seeing them. Such a beautiful design! I noticed that one on ebay a couple of days ago - love it! I've actually seen one other I like even better, but it must have sold or been on a different website.

Man,I used to collect Commems back in the 80s and had quite a nice collection including one of those Texas Halfs,But,Then came the Baseball card Craze and I sold the whole lot of coins to finance my ball card business....I made quite a bit of money in those early days, but, never did get my collection back...I really miss those coins

I am thinking about getting a Texas commem also for my 7070 album, I think I am going to switch them all out for commems that have an eagle on them and this is one I have on the list. I don't think I would ever crack that one out of the old fatty slab just to put it in the album though. I am sure today that one would receive a star or a + grade

I agree this is spectacular toning ... and toning like this appeals to many out there. Absolutely lovely coin in that regard.

Not my thing however ... to each their own I say.

If I were a fan of toners I would bid big $$ for this one.

Thanks for sharing the link!
