Love the toning on the first one! I've been wanting to pick one up with a look like that. Most of mine are more circulated, with the ones that aren't being either blast white or a hint of gold.

Pictures are too small for good grading but both coins look to have around EF detail. I'm a bit suspicious of the toning on the 1916-P; the bright white centers give the coin the look of a slightly worn specimen that was dipped white and then gradually retoned around the rims.
The 1916-D may be more original. I'd like to see larger photos if you can provide them. It's always nice to see higher-grade early Walkers!

Very sharp early Walkers! These are pretty tough to find! Thanks for sharing!

Just common, every day coins found in change all the time. Obviously just kidding. Really in great condition. Imagine those are now close to 100 years old in a short time they will be. Always a really great looking coin. Why can't we go back to those type of coins?

The 1916 reverse is nearly completely black, the Obverse too seems brightened by the photo.

nice looking coins. Is that toning or leather residue?

In photographing toned coins (or anything with significant contrast for that matter), often either the toning looks too dark or the untoned area looks too bright. The human eye is far better at bringing details to a range of lighting conditions than a camera is. That is why some photographs layer images at several exposures overtop of each other (some with better results than others).

i agree it sounds weird but with walkers f to ef just seem to look better to me not just the price but it is one of the few coins that just seems to still have a beautiful quality even when worn.

Gorgeous uncirculated Walkers. My old ones are all the G4-6 variety But still better than nothing!
