Matrix1980 Valued Member Canada 212 Posts	Posted 05/19/2011 4:29 pm That is a hard coin in VG or better try the Canadian Numismatic Company or some other well known dealer. Expect to pay top value. I can't remember ever seen one in that grade if I did it was a long time ago and probably sold super fast. You may want to purchase the 2011 ICCS population report that will give you a great idea of what is out there. Some coins have been resubmitted a few times so the population numbers may not reflect EXACT reality but still will give a good idea. To clarify, I am talking about the plain 1873. It is probably just as tough as the 1873H with none known in mint state grades. If anyone has the AU-55 example, could you please post pictures. As far as I know he his a ultra busy man and a top professional in his field of work so you can imagine what I mean. But rest assured he has the best out there when it comes to almost any coin. He deals a great deal with Proof Positive coins and C&P maybe contact them and see if they have one for sale or know someone that is willing to sell. I will not give out his name for obvious reasons. He had just bought it in a collection a few days before. I think I have his card somewhere ... if you are interested can try to dig it up... but it probably is not a high enough grade for you.
