Can you see the bidders? I was one of the bidders so can see that. Winning bidder last time and bidder earlier today that raised bids by a big number (not winning now but lets see what happens) are the same. This looks like the same coin to me.. hard to believe it isn't. As this bidder won it last time one wonders why if its the same coin they would be bidding again. 100% of this bidders bids are with this seller. No feedback was left for the sale last time at all. Bidder has a feedback of 33.

It is highly suspicious. Phone ebay support or you'll never get an answer before the sale ends.

Hard to tell. I have bid on multiples of the same coin at different periods. Given that the 'winning' bids have been placed less than 24 hours, it's quite possible that they are shills designed to increase the hammer price, particularly if the winning bidder NEVER buys from another different seller. Speaks of a single person with multiple aliases and email addresses bidding on their own auctions. I would track some of their auctions over a 10-day period and perform a trend analysis of hammer price, winning bid & time of winning bid, particularly if the suspicious bidder has bid on the auction. If the seller never ever has any snipe wins on hotly contested items, that's a red flag.

Highly suspicious to me. The coin looks identical in both auctions- the darker streaking patterns are the same in both auctions, even the like streak by the motto. I think the seller rephotographed the same coin, however, for the 2nd auction, because the positioning of the coin with respect to the background is different in the two auctions.

The bidder that is leading now is pretty suspect as well. Feedback of 4.. first time on bidding Canadian coins and has a bid of nearly $200 on the coin. On the phone with ebay customer support but to be honest they don't seem to be too interested.

It is possible that no shilling is taking place and that the first buyer bailed out of the auction and the seller simply re-listed the coin.

I always wonder about that when questionable bidders who have low Feedback scores are constantly bidding on the same sellers coins. It's something very hard to prove, however, I'm sure much of it does go on. I often wonder about some of these high end auctions that are on the internet as well as floor bidding (live), how much of it must go on there? Glenn

It was ICCS from what I can tell...looks like one of their really old grading cards... like 20 years or more old. So if the guy bailed on the first auction and did not pay... why not ban him.. heck.. I get banned for complaining that the coin I got sent was cleaned... or the ICCS listed in the auction was not what I was sent.. Odd is all... looks like someone got it and if it's an old ICCS probably a nice coin...
