Came across these 4 2009 20 dollar star notes. They are in sequence. Would they be Worth holding onto or are they spenders. Thanks for any advice.

According to

http://www.mycurrencycollection.com...s/lookup.php

they are from a run of 3.2 million, which is a pretty large one, for stars. If it were me, I would keep them if I could. If I needed the 80 bucks though, I wouldn't feel bad about spending them.

I am more of a coin collector, but I dabble in currencies a bit. So I was reading this thread and then I looked into my wallet, and found this:

Question-About-4-2009-Star-Notes

Series is 2004A

So then I went and looked it up on the link mentioned above. It says the run was considerably smaller. Does this increase the value of this note significantly?

Also another question I had was about the ink spots on top of the note. What causes those? And how do they affect the value of this note, if it was indeed rare enough?

Thanks for all the help.

It looks like your note is from a run of 320K, which is a pretty small run. Looks to be a keeper to me. If it were mine, I'd put it in a sleeve, and add it to the collection.

As for additional value, I won't comment on that, because I have no idea. I'm not very knowledgeable, on values. I'll leave that up to any of the other folks here, who know more about that type of thing.

Those ink spots along the top are a bit of a curiosity to me as well. I have a series '04A $10 GL*, that has those as well. It's probably a bank acquired thing.

The Ink Spot are probably from the Currency Counter from the Bank. I see these marks all the time. I try and get a Brick of 1000 Singles Dollar Bills in a Sealed Palstic Wrapper from my Bank, to avoid the small impression the Currency counter wheel leaves on the bottom of Bills.

I figured it was something banks did to the notes, cause I'v seen these before as well. Thanks for verifying it.
