i just picked up the 94&97 currency sets that have the matte jeffs but my local coin shop said they really don't command the price that is in the Red Book because the dansco does not have a place for them in their album
my question is is there any truth to that and would it be worth sending to a TPG my 94 is toned on the reverse but the 97 is very sweet
truth be told I really got the sets for the UNC dollar coins and I plan to cut the set up

Check out ebay .. slabbed 94 and 97 sell pretty good.

I sent in three 94's a couple months ago, and plan on picking up
a 97 set in the near future. I also bought the 98 Kennedy,
It will go to NGC when I send in the 97.

Weather it is worth it .. IMO
Depends on...
How much you have into them.
What grade you think you have a chance at.
If you are planning on keeping them or flipping them for a profit.

For me I have a case I am putting these odd ball coins into. Coins
I have no Dansco for, or ones there is no hole for.

There is a lot of truth to that. I do not have either one, nor have I ever found a need since there is no place in my Dansco album for them. This is not to say they are not nice to have, just that a lot of people collect based on what holes they need to fill.

I don't know what RedBook says, but as I recall, the '94 sells for $75+ and the '97 sells over $100.

That's off the top of my head, so my numbers may be low.

I have a '94. Would like a '97 someday, but there's other stuff I'd rather have for the money at this point.

i got both sets well below just the price of the 94 and the 97 looks like a MS67+ the 94 has a spot and is toning on the reverse may not send it in but it might be nice to flip the 97 to get "free silver"

Many people do that. I endorse that idea :)

Most of these coins are toning on the reverse, so that's not a big issue.
