It looks much better than the damaged one I had seen earlier. If I was still looking for one I would be in the $150-$175 range. It is hard to determine the detail without the expanded photos, why did they not go for the few cents to offer the enlarged ones?

... much nicer than that horribly damaged Pan-Pacific you showed a while back. I believe it is genuine but damaged.

IMHO ... this coin is damaged enough to warrant a 'details grade' ... the rim damage and the hole under Ms. Liberty arm on the obverse are IMHO contrary to the sellers claims of "no problem, solid coin".

Granted most of us give some allowance to well-circulated coins relative to damage ... so perhaps I as just seeing things in the small photo that will not be an issue in hand.

I say based on the small photos this coin grades VF30/XF45 details .... with the damage as noted above.

FWIW ... I paid $230 in October 2010 for a PCGS XF40 example of this coin which I broke out of the slab for my circulated collection.

Your call amigo ... if you like the coin then perhaps a final bid on the order of $150 would be appropriate.

thanks guys. I will probably pass. if I can find one for a little better grade like you said, it is much more worth the $$ and enjoyment.
