In effort to put a set of lincoln wheaties together for my
son,I have managed to put together two sets, they start with
1909,and 1909VDB,to 1958.There are no key dates other than 1931S.
I want to sell off one(to put toward my Canadians),but keep the other for my son.I want to know the value of this set,as I don't want to cheat any body,They are just a set of dates like I said from 1909-1958 of just dates.(not all D's and S's) just a complete set dates by years.Any help, and appropriate suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Sandra

If the coins are all circulated ? the sets as is are worth what the 09 and 09 VDB and the 31-S are worth by grade,, and about 3 cents each for the others.

As already noted most of what you describe sounds like 0.3 cent type coins. Depending on your sons age, I would just keep all of them and try to improve the quantity and quality of the entire collection for him.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply to this,I've been off line about a week with some computer problems.

Thanks for all the replys and advice.Still not completely sure about the value, even for the key dates.I think I'll give ebay a shot at it,see what comes of it.
Thanks again,
:)sn31.

I would suggest doing a search of completed auctions on ebay before listing it. My initial feeling is that you're looking at about $15-20 on ebay. You may want to sell them here instead. Once you do a completed auctions search, you will have a better idea of actual worth. Selling them here would avoid ebay's fees.

True the 31S does make for a slightly higher price but you have to remember that the 31S is actually a very common coin in very high grades which is why it is rated so low in value. However, that one alone should be about $50 if in decent condition. Note that is the selling cost by most dealers.

Hi again,
I took your advice Susan, and did a search, and forgive me I may have looked it up wrong, but what I found for $15.00,was a "complete" collection for 1941-1958?

Any suggestions as to accuratley do this search? If I can get an idea of this value,I would definitly be willing to sell them here.
Thanks all,
:) sn31.
