Hi, I had a massive coin collection fall into my lap and I've been craming every bit of knowledge I can fit in my very very weighed down with native american artifact typology & authentication some very difficult attention to detail work
so what do I do I trade a friend a few hundred artifacts for a few thousand coins ......... Hmm I thought artifact detail was rough lol

Anyway I was about to sell a penny that was slabbed by international numismatic bureau but the case was cracked so I thought id switch it with one of the "early Lincoln Cent" that are slabbed for some reason beyond me easly find a better Wheat penny on the parking lot at wal - mart
When I started to photograph the 1966-p cent I think I found doubling over the word liberty and possibly the date as well the coin is graded sms70
And toned nice should I wait to sell it is this a common find ? As soon as I see a responce on here I will upload the pics I've got some realy good photography skills and think it should be easy for you all to see and let me know if this is a correct theory 1966-p d.d.o ?

Welcome! Upload some pics! You will get plenty of response. Also, don't be offended if a Moderator comes by and edits your post...ALL CAPS is considered screaming and is hard to read to boot.

Looks like Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration. But, can we see a pic of the motto?
I am no expert though hopefully they will chime in!

Looks like a normal coin to me. But I am no expert.

I also don't think the slabber was a reputable TPG and the coin is absolutely not MS70.
Nice example but closer to MS65-66.
Whether it is from a Special Mint Set sms or not I am not sure of the diagnostics.

it is coppercoins's site he post here and one thing I have learned from him is if the doubling has a shelf look and no notch odds are it is Machine Doubling

When shooting photos to look for doubled dies always use one light source and keep it as high as possible close to the camera. It looks like you used two lights for the above photos and the effect can give a false image.
