Well this is what I have completed of my Dansco 7070 so far, I have been working on it a little over a month now I guess and since I have finally gotten the copper coins out of the way I feel like I have actually accomplished something. It is awful hard paying hundreds or thousands of dollars for a coin that was worth a cent or half a cent or even 2 cent when they were used in circulation. Anyway I hope you enjoy the pictures of what I have so far as much as I enjoy it everytime I open the album to look at the coins which I do quite often just to let you know. I also want to let you know the only reason the 1877 "holed" Seated quarter is in there is because it was already in my collection before I got the Dansco album and just haven't bought a coin to replace it yet so it is a little out of place in there but figured there was no reason to take it out just to take the pictures for the forum because if I gotta look at it each time I open the album I figured you could handle looking at it once Sorry about the pictures being gone I am trying to get them fixed again nowEdited by Bryan1315 10/29/2006 11:29 pm

Nice stuff!. I'm particularly drawn to the Two Cents and the 1871 Lib Dollar - they're gorgeous. I'll bet the two earliest coppers were the biggest hits, though. That 1805 Large Cent has to be at least AU, which makes it a $kilocoin. I don't even want to think about the Half Cent.

yeah I hope those are the most expensive coins thats going to be in the album but everytime I look at Bust anything I kind of get the feeling it isn't going to be. I have a few other coins that havent arrived yet like a Shield nickel and a few others but they will have to wait for the next upgraded p[ictures to make it into the pictures. That 2 cent coin was actually really affordable, if I am thinking correctly it was under 100 bucks and it has a beautiful eye appeal I think

Beautiful Bryan! Looking at all these great 7070's makes me want to start one of my own. capped bust half dollar Dimes shouldn't be too big of a problem even in MS. Bust Dollars, on the other hand will cost you.

These pictures didn't come out quite like I wanted them to, I may end up taking more with some kind of different light because some of these coins are just beautiful but you cant see them in the pictures very well

Hmm...I see that you don't need Draped Bust dollars in that type set. Those Bust coins shouldn't be a stopper if you're not going for the keys. I love that Seated dollar btw.

very nice Bryan, My set is not as far as your and as nice I think my average grade is at a au-55 so far. It looks like your is a lot nicer. way to go a set to be proud of for sure. I am on a very small coin budget so it make it hard for me to get a lot of those but working on it. But just wanted to say great start so far and set anyone would be proud to own. also what is your average grade of your set.

I beleive you guys had to much high hopes for this set lol, but anyway sorry the pics werent on here when you looked the first time. as I said the first time there are a few coins that are on the way but haven't arrived yet but the copper coins and the dollars was the ones I was frantically trying to finish up, even though the dollars wasn't as bad as I thought it would be the copper coins was a huge chalenge especially without having to take a loan out on the house to afford one cent coins. If I hadn't been putting the set together myself I would have never beleived those little coins could ever cost so much and that is the few and far between problem free coins that are out there. I bet there are 1000 coroded/scratched/cleaned old copper coins to every 5 problem free coins, and probably 1000 to 1 for coins in AU50 and above

the Trade dollar wasn't all that bad, I got it off of ebay from a guy I have done business with on many occasions and all I did was email him what I was looking for and the next day he emailed me saying he had just what I was describing and even though I have made the suggestion of buying streight from him to save him the ebay fee's he refuses to do business like that because he say's it protects him and the buyer so I never argue with them as long as its not costing me more money. Anyway the next day he says he has just what it sounds like I am looking for (I asked for something in the AU-50 range but nice) and he says he will be placing it on ebay at a specific time with a buy it now and if I like it and like the price buy it if not he will keep looking, well I sat here twiddling my thumbs waiting on the specific time for him to upload this coin to ebay (he gave me a specific time so I could be home if I was interested) anyhow to save from making a long story longer I went onto ebay about 2 minutes after the time he said he was going to be listing the coin and went to his ebay page and started looking through his newest listed items and see this coin and even though I think it has probably been dipped it wasn't harsh;y cleaned and still has beautiful luster so still a no problem coin in my eyes even though not an original coin and he has the coin priced about 100.00 less than I was thinking about paying for a AU-50 (which I beleive this one is better than AU-50) so I clicked the BIN and he shipped it out the same day. So it was one of the coins I was kind of hesitating buying because I was scared I would have to either lower my standards and get a AU-50 but maybe one that needed to be dipped to make it look better (even though I wouldn't have done it) or I thought I would have had to save up a few weeks to purchase one I really liked, but I got the best of both worlds, I got one I really liked the look of and also paid 100.00 less for it than I thought I would have to pay for one I didn't really like all that much
