We got this $2 coin today and was wondering about it, am thinking about putting it on ebay but wanted to check to see if it is worth something.

risyntira: If you are just starting out with coin collecting, try to get one of each different design you can from circulation. Won't cost you much, just face value. Later on, even if you do not go much further with the collection, at least someone will buy them off you, for face value, or perhaps more. The fun you would have had along the way would be much greater than the nett cost, which would be negligible.

Laura this coin is damaged,even you know that,common sense
ebay is full of amature coin sellers,I am glad you posted here first for opinions

Might not even go into a parking meter or vending machine it's so disfigured.
Definitely a roadkill or post mint damage.
