Just a quick question:

Does anyone know if Morgan dollars in Kointains would fit in a airtite sure safe shipping roll?

I was a surprised to find out that Air tite SureSafe rolls are not recommended for long term storage.

i have quite a few rolls of morgans stored in them for a couple of years with no ill effects ...yet.

thanks.

I was going to buy more & saw this on their website.

http://www.air-tites.com/bubble_mai...tm#sure-safe

"This shipping tube allows you to safely ship coins to your customers. Coins are kept apart by molded comb type separators. The tube locks shut with the use of black plastic rings slipped over each end. Perfect for Morgan, Peace and Eisenhower dollars, 1 oz. Silver Rounds, and Silver Eagles. Also available for 1 ounce silver bars. Not recommended for long term storage."

Cause they said so? Maybe the plasticizers used in mfg?

Oh, the shipping container. OK, I could see why. ANA members used to use cointains as a gerneraly accepted procedure in the 80s. Can't remember when Airtite started.

Been meaning to update this thread.

Yes, Morgan dollars in 38mm Kointains will fit in the airtite suresafe container!
Just remove the anti rattle foam.

A good bullet proof way to store your better morgans.
