As a noob (several years of random collecting, then really getting into it the last 2 months) the bulk of my collection:
Canadian circulation coins (Pennies & Nickels 1937->, Dimes/Quarters/50c/Dollars 1967->, Twoonies 1996->)
American circulation coins (trying to do the same as Canadian, but no where near complete)
French & German coins 1860->Euro (with lots of holes in the late 1800s)
Variety of world coins from all my travels (40+ countries)

Been collecting Canadian coins for 2 months:
Majority is Canadian double dates, die clashes, and keys :).

Unique coins acquired in 2 months on ebay include:
1. 1c 1954 NSF EF40 (only 2 known circulated examples)
2. 5c 1965 Large Beads EF40 (only ~ 10-20 known)
3. 25c 1906 small crown (~ 40-50 known)
4. 10c 1893 round top 3 in VF30, and another in EF40 (probably < 20 known in VF30+) :)
5. 10c 1892 large 9 in VF20, and another in EF40 (probably < 20 known in VF20+)
5. 25c 2000 mule x 4 MS63-65 (~ 100 known)
6. 10c 2000P MS66 (~ 280 known)

I collect Canadian business strikes from 1902 to present, with a concentration on 1902 to 1968 silver.

I also collect pre-decimal British and British Empire coins.

Danlos - did you win a lottery? Where was your interest in coins prior to you latching on to Canadian?

LOL...no...just got a good job :)...collected fossils and minerals before...

I just wanted to put a small fraction of my money into something solid...but gold and silver bullion seems very overpriced and boring...
So I dived into Canadian coins and I guess I'm a sucker for rarities and deals...with US coins selling for 10-100x for the same mintage, it seems a no brainer.

Just hoping not to make too many blunders, or to get sheared...lol :)...

I collect Canadian small cents (all strikes) and NFLD small cents.

For fun, I also collect these, which are generally a real challenge to find in gem business strikes, but these have been a lot of fun chasing down over the years.
