It never ceases to amaze me that people bid on these obvious forgeries from China. The best solution here would be to give the bidders a friendly warning, but of course that is not possible with the Private Identity.

That seller has 6 coins posted right now ALL are FAKES - modern junk copies. But he is making a fortune.

Perhaps the way to contact his buyers is through his feedback? Although at that time it's too late, plus all of his auctions are private, so you have no idea what item(s) those buyers purchased.

Roman - when I checked his feedback - I see a lot of newbies and about an equal number of fellows that I know. Other collectors of counterfeits will always buy from guys like this to get an indication of where the manufacturers are technologically. If you look long enough you will see me as well. I usually snipe bid on all his new auctions to the appropraite level for modern forgeries, but since I am sniping at low levels my bids very rarely win. This is one of three sellers who seems to be very closely linked with the Beijing forgery group bceause he gets the newest material before most of the second and third tier dealers.

I checked the feedback and auctions bought by some of his buyers and what I saw was:

Too much money + no knowledge = Separated from money and got ripped off.

I thought ebay was doing away with the whole private auction thing.

I think ebay stopped Private feedback. They have not stopped keeping bidder identities private.
