I like it, but $275 is a bit much.

That coin is worth 75 cents! Its artificially toned...which is a damaged coin.Just my opinion of course. Some toned coins I admit are very pretty, but its not worth 275 dollars!

Its in a PCGS slab, and I have seen proof nickels toned like this quite a bit. The proofs tend to tone really crazy colors.

The pictures suck, so it's hard to tell how the toning looks. I would request additional pictures. IMO, if it's nice toning, I would pay up 1.5-2x retail, if alright toning, maybe a small premium if anything

I just dont get the whole toning thing. I'd rather it stay in full original luster. To me it looks like a blemish when it tones.

Well, in that grade a 1961 PF68 Jefferson nickel goes for around $30.00. The Ultra Cameo of this same year and grade could be over $300. But this is merely a Gem Proof. The toning in my opinion is very pretty, but wouldn't bring a premium of as much as they are asking. I would pay no more than $35 to $40 myself. Of course this is just my opinion. Still a pretty coin, I love Jefferson nickels.

It's almost like the wrong color balance was intentional--who knows what it really looks like?

I could be off base here, but the very prevalent purple hue in the pics send up a red flag. The white balance is WAY off in the pics, or the hue was deliberately adjusted WAY off.

That would overly emphasize the colors in the toning. I can't help but think that if the white balance was correct, the toning wouldn't be all that spectacular...

Altered coin ... does nothing for me and not worth more than a couple bucks in my opinion.
Sometimes I think sellers should get a negative feedback by popular demand from the ebay community for selling stuff like this and at exorbitant prices.

I agree, surely the holder and background are not purple.
That coin is not properly represented as shown.
