No, there is no paperwork.
I think you are correct, bronze.
None are on auction so I guess it could be rare.

I can tell you it is not a commemorative coin ... perhaps one of the Mod Dudes will come along and move this thread to the appropriate forum where the experts can see it and offer opinions.

The reverse is interesting. Broken into three phases of his life. Lower left 1941-45 was his Naval service. The top is obviously his Presidency. The bottom right...well not sure what that herald is? Neat find though.

It's a souvineer coin you would buy in a gift shop. It might be worth a $2-3 if you can find someone to buy it. It should have been in a little clear sleeve with a pice of paper describing what the coin is and what it was made of.

You guys called it.
I just spoke with my father, he said he bought it at the Kennedy Library gift shop in Boston perhaps in 1983ish.
Good call and thx for helping!

Also my father said he suggested they change the Name from Kennedy Library to Kennedy Library & Museum and they did.
