Going to use them as a social experiment with the kids on the playground. Just moved on to post and my son is the youngest out there and though he's holding his own, I'm coming across as the mean guy that everyone should break into the car of. TOnight I had to take a lighter away from a 8 year old burning wood chips under the slide. Yesterday I had to take my boys toys back from a 6 year old. I'd like to pick up a lot of these and bribe them with pennies in the hopes that A)They'll back off the boy and B)THey'll see me as the cool old man next door.

I should note I obviously don't care if they are used and beat to heck. I don't think 7 year olds are going to care.

I'm not 100% sure, but I might have a couple of the $3 whitman albums. PM me tomorrow and remind to look. I'll send them to you if I can find them.

If you can find a coin shop or show nearby you might be able to get some free used ones. Dealers that buy collections often pull the coins and toss the albums or folders. I believe Just Carl got a respectable number of this albums this way.

Folders are much cheaper than albums and are fine for young collectors.

Folders and albums were meant to imply the same meaning. We have a show here in a couple weeks I plan to attend. Hopefully there will be some there. Otherwise I haven't found any shops nearby but will continue to look. Thanks for the feedback fellas and sending PM to Wolverine.

1909-1940 wouldn't do me much good at all even if I had a dealer to get them from. The whole goal is to keep the kids occupied for an entire afternoon or more and if they aren't finding pennies to stick in the slots, they are going to get bored REAL quick and I'll end up going to plan B and bringing a rocket kit out. Rockets get expensive, we really aren't in a great place to shoot them, and it's not something the boys will be able to do once I walk away like the pennies will be. I'm going to hit the show here in 2 weeks and post an ad on the local free classifieds and see if I can get some bites for a buck or 2 per folder.

Well I found a guy that has them for a buck each on ebay. If he'll combine shipping I'm going to buy like 20 of them but something tells me he wants his 3.99 per folder. We'll see.
