Looks like a decent price. I would pick them up, keep half and sell the other half to expand my Australian Lunar collection. I do not really collect Mexican coins though. What kind of condition are they in?

Considering melt for one is a little over $80 (last time I checked) that's a great deal.

I'd say it all depends on what YOU want to do with them. Investment for for their PM value? Do you need high liquidity?

Personally, I'm in Mexico and that would be a nice coin to have at that price and at that volume.

I'm more of a coin collector....not an investor.

I'm going to buy the coins and flip 8 of them to get my money back. I'm going to hold on to 2 of them for my collection.

Thanks everyone!

That coin, and correct me if I am wrong, has 1.66 grams of gold, and total weight is about 2 grams....

They sell on ebay for buy it now around a 100, and you may luck out and win one on bid at say like 85 to 90....

With that being said, sounds like you are buying 7 coins and getting 3 more for free is one way to look at it, so go for it....

The coin itself weighs 1.66g....and it's made from 90% gold content. So the gold content is actually 0.0482ozt. The melt value would be:

0.0482 x 1538.20 = $74.14

So, basically I'm buying gold coins under spot....that's pretty decent. But you're right, the premium will allow me to flip 8 and get my money back. So yes, it's basically getting 2 free coins.
