Hi, friends, found this coin in a bulk lot, I think it`s original but whether this is mint error or maybe later intervention - what do you think? Looks uncleaned to me.

That's interesting, but I'm not sure how it would happen during the strike. Someone may have forced a reeded edge against this coin.
Perhaps some of the error experts would care to comment--I'll have this moved to Classic Varieties.
