i have a dos peso panda coin , I found in a ring setting , I had it put into another bezel so my wife could wear it around her neck, it has a panda and the word panda next to the pitchure of the panda, and on the other side it looks like a regular dos peso with 1945 on it, does anyone know what I have here , please help.

Looks like a made in Red China fake, which means it could also be gold plated.

The 'real thing' never existed. China makes pandas, but didn't in 1945, and Mexico made gold dos peso coins in 1945, but doesn't now.

Yep, it's a privately-made jewellery medal. Genuine Mexican 2 pesos look like this; the wreath on the reverse of your coin looks much more crudely rendered than on the original.

One of the weirdest 'mule' coins I have ever seen!

A mule from two different countries? Only the British Royal Mint are capable of that with the N.Z. / Bahama Islands 2 cent mule!

Somehow, I don't think China has struck coins for Mexico. Sap has to be right.

We had to coin tested at the jewelers and they said it was 22k gold.. So I know it's not fake gold.. We just haven't been able to find anything about this coin anywhere and that is why I was asking.

you know the hobo nickel? Its were people get a Buffalo nickel or even modern nickels and deface it into a piece of art. I wonder if they did this to the dos pesos

I took the coin out of the bezel to see if maybe a clearer image might help. So here it is..
