I'm looking to purchase a nice, original coin in XF condition for my type set (yup, I'm starting one). I've got one in mind, but I don't know the fair market value for one. The seller is asking $60 shipped for it. Is that a fair price? Thanks for all your help!

Are you comfortable with the accuracy of the grade? The price is way low for an undamaged XF Half Cent.

I agree, even the greysheet prices seem to be lower than what the coins are selling for in that grade at auction, that is if we are talking about a problem free coin that isn't corroded or has some other problem

I also agree, this is a fair price if in your estimation the coin is graded correctly. If you have clear, crisp pictures to look at it helps. Good Luck.

I've been assured by the seller that the coin is the same color throughout. The actual color is closer to the reverse.
Tell me what you think.

Nice clean, original color. No better than F12 and I think I'm being generous with that.
