I just saw a 1880-0 Morgan dollar on e bay going for 400$ They say it is a "micro o " anyone know what that means ? thanks, whisk

The 1880-O "micro O" is a VAM variety ( VAM is the initials of the two guys who wrote the book on Morgan varieties). Two varieties of the New Orleans mintmark were made- a large oval O and a micro O. The micro O variety is a Top 100 VAM so it would carry a premium over a normal 1880-O.
