I have a seller who has about 3000 of these coins and the 2 he sent me are in pretty great shape. I was wondering how easy these are to market and what is an easy price to sell them at.

Don't know about in USA but sell for $12-$16 ea here any quality, being 80% silver , slightly above spot price here as Aussies have a weird fascination with these coins, and love hoarding them, even though they're not rare unless ch/gem. 3coins/1oz Silver.

These were withdrawn from circulation in 1966, so there are plenty in very high grades.
Look carefully before you buy: I've seen a lot that have turned green, which I suspect had been stored in moist conditions.

I'm not to worried about the condition as much as the silver aspect. I will try to get them for around $10 each and see what he says

A good site I've often checked is this one w1a98k5:
http://www.australian-threepence.co...n-values.htm

Tells you price of silver in each Aussie coin. So, per coin, each of your 50 cent pieces has $12.23 US in silver content. For your 3000 coins that's nearly $37,000! or 1025 ounces... Or a whooping 1500 bucks if you used them as 50 cent pieces over here.

... or, I've on many occasion gotten these as 20 cent pieces in my change. So you could prolly spend them as 20 cent pieces for a whooping 600 bucks! (I think you're better off with silver price ;))
