-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am curious as to how many peeps out there have actually found any 2006 errors? Anyone out there found 2006 error coins that are truly collectible ? Seems with all the new safe gaurds in place in all the distribution centers around the states the amount of outragous coins have all but have disappated. There may have been some that just maybe have sneaked out which seems now that those that have any error coins with extreme errors that reach the public have begun to watch their backs. Seems they have caught a person sneaking out coins in a forklift that was sent out to be overhauled that had error coins hidden inside. Seems if someone is able to find extreme error coins in todays world would suddenly succume to scrutiny. How many out there have truly found 2006 error coins that haven't been shuttled out of a distrubution center ? The fact of the matter is that we as in all of us are in fact ones that look for error coins which are in all actuality are screeners for the U S Mint. TRUE OR FALSE ?

Error coins don't appeal to me so ultimately I just never look for them. My expertise in this area is nil.

Even though they do not appeal to you do you understand the question or statement at hand that has been put forth and if so is it your belief is as that the same as stated ?

I guess collectable would be the word I would pick on in the question ,, because just about anything can be called collectable ,as for value with error coins some which should be considered valuable will not be recognised for decades, and others will be instantly accepted. But to answer your question !! One of our forum members found a three coin progression of a die crack to a serious die break ,, the same reverse on two and a different one on the third. Pic of the final of three !! Rick

mishap-coins ~ If you put what the thread is about in the title you're much more likely to get replies. There are experts out there on error coins that would more than likely just skip right over this thread, because, well, ummmm, it could be about your dog for all they know.

As to finding 2006 error coins you have to remeber that many, many 2006 coins are still in rolls, bags, banks, etc. The just haven't gotten circulated enough for errors to be found. Actually I think thereare still many 2005, 2004 and other year coins still not searched for the same reason. Note that the coin collecting boom has grown to massive proportions so that many people are hoading rolls or bags or boxes of coins that have not been checked. It may take many years now for present coin errors to be found.
