glenzy1 Pillar of the Community Canada 1554 Posts	Posted 06/15/2011 06:32 am Hello Scarecrow, this is a gorgeous and what appears to be a problem free Key date Canada dollar. In my guestimate, it looks like an EF-40 coin which would give it a current trend value of appr. $275.00. This is an underrated coin and higher grades are more difficult to come across. The mintage for this coin is a mere 38K and it's still available for a low price. If you don't need the money right now, I'd hang on to it. It would make a great keepsake to pass down to future generations. (p.s.: hard to tell from the scan, however it may be the scarcer double "HP" variety!) From the scans, it looks like a soft plastic flip - be aware of anything that could cause PVC damage... Nice coin, thanks for sharing. If you have the Double HP variety the one strike is slightly above the other so you will see a slight doubling of the initials. Report this Post to the Staff
