Something strange about this auction for a Raw, 1920, Canada half dollar. ebay auction I.D. #270764926832. I've requested the seller, Britanny to post scans of the Reverse and has failed to do so. She sent me one blurry scan of the reverse which appeared to have a severe rim nick on the 9:00 area of the coin. She states that she got the coin from her father 10 years ago and it's been kicking around the house since. She also states she is not a collector and knows nothing about coins but seems to list it and a higher than usual price for someone who knows nothing about coins. Also, scan of coin appears to be an MS-63/64 grade, nice for a coin that's been just kicking around the house! Also take note on her Feedback, she recently sold a ladies purse ofr over $1,600.00 where the buyer sent a neutral comment stating it was not like the one advertised? If anyone on this Forum has any intention on placing a bid, BEWARE! Glenn

I couldn't agree more - this auction definitely smells of being a scam. Her dad only left her one coin and this is it? I saw a 1924 nickel graded ms64 by ICCS on ebay available from two different people at the same time. She I am sure, pulled a picture from another auction and is not against ripping off the public.

No returns accepted either... feedback non coin related from what I can see and mostly older and as a buyer only. Sure looks like one to avoid.

I'm sure most people willing to spend the big bucks will also take the time to do a little research.

Hmm, it looks like she added a scan of the real obverse. Let's be generous and call that Fine. It certainly doesn't match the first photo!

The close-up scan is not the real coin. The 2 pictures from far away are as far as I am concerned. The coin is VG to Fine at best.Where did she get the value from?

When your knowingly going to rip people off, you don't need to have a realistic price.

Scammer the top photo isn't even the same coin $400 for this non key date coin? $40 is pushing it for a 1920 in this condition

I don't think she's likely trying to scam, just very ignorant about selling anything on ebay (especially coins). Hence the feedback about the purse. The auction should be pulled and she should be educated. She is less than one hour from me lol.

She lives a mere 1/2 hour from me. I've offered to meet her at a Tim Horton's at the Petitcodiac Irving 24 Hr Big Stop, she declined the invitation. I wanted to educate her in person what the ramifications of fraud is under the Criminal Code. Soon after, she posted the 2 new scans of the "actual coin"! Glenn
