I see what you're saying now, and you only need five and a half of those?

You may be quite old by the time you round up that many pennies.

heck, even order the rolls of dollar coins from the mint -- you can get them free, no shipping charge, and he would have a bear of a time spending 54K of them.

There is a 4-box $1 coin limit for every 10-day period on any and all $1 coin orders. Beyond that your credit card will not be authorized. If you need quantities greater than this, please send an e-mail before placing your order to directship@usmint.treas.gov explaining why your order should be exempted from the limit. source: http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...ntifier=8100Plus I would never receive them in time. I give up.

If the person is a state licensed contractor, you may have some legal ways through the licensing bureau of your state. If he is not a licensed contractor, most states have a maximum amount of work they can do , and many states it is below $1000, so check with a lawyer. However, if he is licensed, the court doesn't seem to like claims of trickery after the fact.

I would love to see the face of person at the mint reading your email as to why you need 30K in Presidential dollars. DENIED! Do you at least have quality work to show for added expense, The worst thing you can do is Google his company name and leave negative feed back where ever he advertises at, Can't go too over the top though cause then you just come across as an angry customer. Just enough for the next John or Jane Doe to read and go uuummm I think I'll pass. But really think about this tactic before doing. Because a simple negative remark goes a long way. How far off is the money to work, have you had other contractors look at the work done and give you prices. Cause if its a family member or friend telling you, you over paid get a pro's opinion. You might just be surprised. I just did a job that would easily cost $1200 but I only charged her $350 because she was a single Mom going through a rough divorce. And cause shes a teacher. She wanted her downstairs bathroom redone. So I Redid all the walls and ceiling. prime and paint, pull out old floor, re level and install tile, Tile the vanity but first I had to fix it. Fix sink, Toilet, then kitchen sink. New Trim and Molding, and install toilet paper holder towel holder and washcloth holder. And All tile had a custom design with finished ends and caps. When it came time to get paid she said I'm only going to give you 200, I asked kindly why that was, her reply was the guy she works with Brad, said this whole job should only cost her $200. I asked her if Brad had any experience in any of the work I do. She thought for a moment and said NO, I don't believe so. (Shes a teacher) So my reply was, What if I came in after you taught a week of class where you had to make sure almost every kid passed this important test and right before I hand you your check I tell you, Ohh I'm only going to pay you $6 hr even though we agreed upon $18 and when you ask me why, I tell you because a friend who has no idea how much work really goes into teaching said I was paying you to much. I think I made sense to her cause she paid the agreed amount. But all my good deeds went out the window. But before I left I asked her to please call someone else and ask them for an estimate on the work she just received. Just so she knows how much money it would really cost had someone else did it. So I guess I'm just saying what I said earlier. Make sure theirs actually a legit reason before any retaliation on your part. Bad word of mouth travels fast. Now if he did really screw ya and theirs no doubt about it. GO GET Em. People like that are what make it hard for the rest of us.

www.portlandmint.com you can buy all the copper pennies you want. They used to run auctions on ebay for 50K-250K face value of copper pennies as well I think.

Everything about this seems odd.
As someone in the trades, I would tell you to speak with a lawyer as soon as possible. And to forget the revenge you are seeking.

An attorney has been consulted with. We were late making the final lump payment and signed a mortgage for the amount so he wouldn't foreclose on the lien (which I was later told he wouldn't even be able to do). Towards the end of the mortgage we used an attorney to negotiate the amount because of the contested change orders but were advised by our attorney we wouldn't be able to fight the change orders since we already 'legitimized' them by signing the mortgage for the full amount. Long, aggravating story to say the least. Still doesn't add up to me.
