KisNap Valued Member United States 462 Posts	Posted 06/20/2011 1:49 pm Has anyone else noticed that 2010 pennies easily pick up fingerprints and tarnish easily? Was there are change in the metal composition or am I just seeing things. When searching through pennies it's easy for me to spot the 2010 cents because they appear to be a slightly different color (those that aren't blackened from finger prints). Am I just seeing things? But then again, I have not see a large enough sample of 2010 cents (probably less than ten in change) to be certain. Chadwick Valued Member United States 271 Posts	Posted 06/20/2011 5:11 pm I get what you are saying. It seems that the new design picks up spots and fingerprints quite readily. As far as I know the composition isn't any different from the other Zincolns. So it could just be my imagination. Report this Post to the Staff

Even though the vast majority of the ones I have are shiny new looking, I do see many now that have patina or have gotten some sort of unattractive corrosion. Report this Post to the Staff
