Has anyone else noticed that 2010 pennies easily pick up fingerprints and tarnish easily? Was there are change in the metal composition or am I just seeing things. When searching through pennies it's easy for me to spot the 2010 cents because they appear to be a slightly different color (those that aren't blackened from finger prints). Am I just seeing things?

Based on my experience I would say you are just seeing things. But then again, I have not see a large enough sample of 2010 cents (probably less than ten in change) to be certain.

I get what you are saying. It seems that the new design picks up spots and fingerprints quite readily. As far as I know the composition isn't any different from the other Zincolns. So it could just be my imagination.

I think the 2010 cents are as guilty of any of the Zincolns for corroding easily. Even though the vast majority of the ones I have are shiny new looking, I do see many now that have patina or have gotten some sort of unattractive corrosion.
