These are difficult enough to grade in hand.

I will have to say AU58.

I am quietly putting together a PCGS certified Peace dollar set ... so have seen in hand many PCGS coins and learning how to grade the series recognizing the strike challenges many of the 24 coin series faced.

Truly tough to grade from a photo ... great coin BTW ... the 1928 Peace dollar is for sure one of the keys to the series.

Still see some luster but the obverse has seen obvious circulation wear. The toning does not bother me for technical grade ... but the bag hits on the obverse central features do.

I say PCGS AU55.

Compare FWIW to my 1928 PCGS MS64 Peace dollar ...

Thanks for sharing the great coin ... looking foward to learning how PCGS graded her.

You guys were all over it. Picked this up for a steal at $350. I can't say I particularly like the toning on the obverse though.

If you don't like the toning just bust it out and dip it;-)
