Images are scans. Not too bad looking coin in hand
actually. Once again, tough to get the details on the scan.
All but one of the stars in full bloom. Was curious about the
avg. strike details on these dimes when minted.
Thanks.

XF-45 to AU-50 due to no luster, detail is better than that.

Thanks you guys. I agree with the lackluster.
But I also like the look it has. Kind of like what a coin this age is supposed to look like. Got handled a little bit early on then just sat around and aged gracefully.
Do you think that first star (right side looking) is more so
from the strike than from wear ? If from wear then a detail
53 may fit. If from strike a 55 ? Minus luster a 50 ?
I would be thrilled with a 50 overall. This coin would fit the bill for a decent 1857 date set of all denoms. I.E.: Cent, nickel etc.

I think you would be thrilled then my guess is AU53.

Very nice coin.

It will be a fine addition to the date set.
