I found some large cents in my step dads collection.
Still finding more stuff :) 1901 through 1920 all inclusive.
Need to get them graded at least in the ball park. Any and every pic. that I could find on this coin seem to be different as far as what the grades are. Only thing in common was this coin seems to be a tad better than a F12 but then on some not as good as a VF20 and vice versa. Once again these are scans and do not show the finer details as well as in hand. Thanks for any help. I have some a lot better than this but not many that are any worse.

O.K. Thanks.
These are buggers to grade. No decent photo grade type
pics out there for ea. individual type of coin.
I had to just use edward the Vii obv. as it is on a lot of the can. denoms. Guess there is no F15 grade either used in canada. Weird, the ones I did see at F12 had almost no bottom of the crown left and the ear was not full etc. Then it jumps to VF20 which I agree is close but a tad better than mine. Not a biggie anyway on any premium between F12 and 15.
At least I have a better idea and can properly grade the rest of these cents. Except for some borderline EF45/AU's that I have.

12-15 , I tried to fiddle with the image but there aren't enough pixels there. Not a 20 for sure.

Suggestion: Try upping the brightness in teh scanning software on these dark pennies and it will give them a more red appearance in the final scan with more of the fields visible.

For Canadian stuff I kind of liked this grading system. http://www.pcfleet.com/Coinclub/Can...rade4-en.htm

Its all a matter of interpretation in my opinion. For US there seems to be a basic standard, but I don't know about Canada.

Thanks for the link. Not bad but like some of the others
the pics are very small. Hard to see the details in important areas. The reason I need the grades on these cents is because
all of them will be sold. I want to be as fair as possible on the pricing. Do not want to really run 20 seperate auctions.
At least now I can finish up most of the others myself but will be posting a couple others that are border line higher grades.

O.K.,Thanks. Good for future reference.
Oh my, a book. Have not read one of those in a while :)
I did manage to get the grades on all of the 1901 through 1920
done. No big deal either way as far as price even if I missed
a grade or two on them. The whole lot would only run between $100.00 and $125.00 anyway. But maybe some on here would like them. Whatever I do not sell tomorrow at my flea market I will
post on here next week. Thanks again all for your help.
Still gotta do all of the small cents and nickels as well as a few dimes, quarters, halfs and dollars etc. as well as a few mint sets and one decent shin plasterer :)
