Here is an oddball. Believed to be a 1943 Mercury uniface reverse dime struck upon the planchet metal used for the 1944 1/2 Bolivar coin. Weighs between 2.2- 2.3 grams. Absolutely no reverse detail. Completely blank. Prototype or error?

Slightly golden in color. and EX-AU details.

Somebody decided to improve upon the coin by improperly cleaning it!

Appears to be .835 Silver and .165 copper.

Regardles, I seek commentary. Anything known about these errors? Help if you can. Thank you Gusp

Its from Venezuala right. if so I am wrong the US made the same coin in 1945 not 1944 aprox 18.50mm in diameter at 2.50 grams and .835 silver/165 copper. So I think its a test piece or an error as well more likely a test piece
