I got these 4 coins today for 50 cents each. They seem interesting to me and I would like to know if anyon on the forum knows anything about the history of them. The first one around the front says: Chambres-de-commerce-de-france and in the middle of the front says: Bon pour 2 Francs. the back of it says: Commerce Industrie 1924. The back also has a nude man sitting holding a musical instrument in one hand and a Caduceus in the other.

The next 2 I thought were interesting. The front of both say united states of america, and the backs of them say Fillipinas. one is one centavo, and the other is five centavos. Both dated 1944.

The last one just has some asian writing down the middle. The writing is identicle on both sides.

Top left: KM# 877 France 2 francs coin 1924 can have either open or closed 4. Closed being slightly better.
Top right: Looks like a zinc token?
Bottom left: KM# 180a Philippines 5 centavos coin copper-nickel-zinc. Can't see from the pics but it looks like there is an S mint-mark to the left of the date. They made them with or without the mint-mark.
Bottom right: KM# 179 Philippines 1 centavo coin bronze

The coins from the Philippines were made in the US under the US Administration. The "S" mint-mark indicates that they were made at the mint in San Francisco during WWII. Pretty cool pieces of history.

The token says "Jack's" which may be from here, although it's a savings/credit firm. Might just be from some arcade also caled "Jack's"

Yep, top-right is a "pachinko token", a Japanese arcade token. The other three items are regular coins for the countries named on them (ie. France and Philippines).

I was stationed in Japan and the comment about "pachinko tokens" brought back memories of pachinko parlors and the incessant noise coming from them. They used to be played with small silver balls but I hear that they are all electronic now. Thanks for the memories!

not all, many still use metallic balls, chips or whatnot (i don't personally frequent those North Korea-mafia controlled smoke-filled places)

but since The Disaster of March 11 they have less and less clients anyway: people cut back on spending, and besides - of all things, those parlors waste electricity on unproductive activities - which in today's Japan is as antisocial as... spitting on the floor at a posh restaurant
