Picked this up yesterday for $40...slightly over melt. figured I was ok....minimum a strong AU with some nice toning on both sides. I do believe it's MS....what are your opinions. Luster has is pretty strong through the toning.

I can't give you a solid grade because the pictures are slightly blurry. Could you try to take diferent pictures? I agree with AU to MS.

AU. The hair is getting flat.

I'm going with AU with the pictures provided. Still beautiful nonetheless.

Your Morgan has a great strike.
This year & mm is one of the best Morgans out there.
I don't believe there is any wear. The thing that clenches it for me are the toes. The eagle's talons are well struck and don't show signs of wear.
I'll stick my neck out and say we need better photos. I'm thinking MS63. Better photos could prove me wrong, or right.

Much better pictures! I think it's MS63. Too manny bag barks to be a 64. Great coin for the price you paid!

I'd say MS. Good buy for $40. I'm not so sure on the technical grade, however.

If you change the direction, or rotate the coin, so the light comes across the face I think your results wiil be better.
Most of the grade comes from face, field in front of the face, and neck. Other things can be important, but if there is a damage there the rest does not matter.

Thanks for the advice I'll give that a shot as well. I need to find a better place to take these pictures....right now it's on the mouse pad on my desk using my desk lamp as a light source....not exactly an ideal set up.
