Many thanks for all the generous replies.

This PCGS MS66 Stone Mountain has been returned as CAC approved ... another lovely coin in my quest for the full 50 coin type set.

However, you failed to mention which three remain to finish off the set...

The last three I need are ...

1921 Alabama Half Dollar. Looking for a white or minimal toning coin in PCGS MS65 or better. I have a solid lead on one ... hoping it works out.

1922 Grant Half Dollar. Looking for a white or minimal toning coin in PCGS MS65 or better.

1936 Cincinnati Musical Center Half Dollar. Looking for a white or minimal toning coin in PCGS MS66 or better.

Alas ... there are many upgrades I wish to make as well ... I will be working on this set long after I 'complete' it.

Anyone can see photos of my current 47 coin set at the PCGS Registry web site ... work you way to silver commemorative 50 coin type set and I'm somewhere between #45 and #50 ... "No-Toning Classic Set". Hope you check out the poor photos I took over time.

IMHO the 50-coin US silver commemorative type set is a great collecting challenge of lovely coins filled with history .. great and poor design ... greed ... and all around fun to pursue.

Looking forward to sharing more with you as they come along.

David

With now only three to go, what will your next passion be for?

Geepers ... even when I 'fill' the last three holes I am nowhere near done with my Classic sliver half set ... by my count I have at least 17 upgrades to make ... results of my inexperience when I started versus my coin expectations today.

I suppose that is how we all grow ... dig into a set with energy and enthusiasm ... and perhaps at the end we are fortunate enough to come away with some better understanding of the coins, history and ourselves as collectors.

Long answer to a short question ... my 'passion' is still with this set and I look forward to sharing the evolution as I slowly work to achieve a set that meets my current more mature collecting needs.

Nice coin, I am also jealous, and I'm afraid to buy a 7070 album. Because I know I'll go broke.
