I just found this one.

Is this common with this series or specific date coin.

This 1856 Liberty Seated half dime has a medal orientation.

The reverse is 180 degrees off. The pics are not good the grade is G6 or VG8.

I am just curious about the reverse orientation or any other comments

There is a website with a census of "known" rotated dies of between 90 and 180 degrees. Leroy Van Allan was a major force behind the gathering of rotated die information but this is not his website Anyway, the site is http://rotateddies.com/ It does list your 1856 Half Dime with a clockwise rotation of 176 degrees and they assign it a rarity of R-6. I wouldn't read too much into that R-6 rating yet. Rotated dies are not a mainstream item and there hasn't been a lot of research done on them. The rarity may be over rated, and also since the number of specialist collecting them is small a high rarity rating does not translate into a high value.

The main page of the site says it was last updated in Dec of 2010, but the census and new discovery pages have not been update since Nov 2009 so the owner may not be active anymore and the site just coasting until the domain contract expires. If you are interested in rotated dies you might want to copy the data on the page in case it disappears. You can also email the site owner to see if he is still actively pursuing new data. His email address is on the website.
