As the title says, I need some feedback on what lens I need for excellent quality coin pics...

I currently have the 18-55mm.

Thanks in advance...

The 18-55 is what I am using currently. It does the job but isn't as amazing as the 100mm macro lens. I definitely plan on buying this lens once I am able. If you look at the 7070 thread all my shots were done with a rebel EOS T3 IS II wit the stock 18-55mm lens on macro setting.

Also, for lighting I suggest getting two desktop lamps with full light spectrum bulbs.

"Excellent" means a dedicated Macro lens for an XS, and nothing less. 60 or 100mm Canon, 105 Sigma, 90 Tamron, a couple of others. Be prepared to spend more than the camera cost.
