Found one of these in my stepdads collection.
He was also born that year. Seems to be in Unc. condition.
but a bit of grime etc. on it.
I checked around and noticed some that seemed to be made from
a different alloy etc. than mine. Mine looks to be bronze.
Others I saw were more of a nickel color. Whats the scoop on these ? How many made, more than one composition, value if any
etc. I saw a dealer who is selling them for $50.00 ea. but is out of stock. ebay only showed a few.
Thanks.

Pictures would help, it is probably a privately issued token of some sort.

It was really private. That coin might be expensive.

This item is a fairly common token, NOT a coin and NOT expensive. Alpert priced these at $2-$10 in 1992, and that price may now be doubled. It's appeal is for those who collect tokens of historic events, aviation tokens and lucky pieces - "Lucky Lindy." It's a neat conversation piece ... If memory serves me correct, the issuance of these tokens may be related to the release of the film, "Spirit of St. Louis"? Perhaps, someone will chime in on this ...

As some examples have been seen on ebay, simply click the "watch it now" button and see what some sell for. Dealers at shows will sell these for $3-$10; this, to my experience. Hope this helps.
