Just want to know if brand matters on this type of holder. I checked e-Bay and they don't mention a brand and the ones I get from the coin shop has no brand name they just come in a bundle of 100 with a rubber band around them.I have noticed over the years some differences in the 2x2's such as clear windows and foggy windows, white cardboard vs. brown, loose Mylar, scratches on the windows etc. I am aware of the ones that come in boxes of 100 like Whitmans for example but they always cost more when they come in small boxes. All feedback welcome, thanks.

I don't have a lot of broad experience to relate, because I've only ever used Saflips. Maybe that's an indication right there....

I too have mentioned this previously. So far I've seen many different types of those 2x2 flips at coin stores and coin shows. None so far have nothing on them as to where they where made, what the cardboard is made from, if in fact Mylar (which is a brand name). And too they are different in many ways. For example many people have found that some are so thick they barely fit into those 20 pocket plastic pages made for them. Many are really white cardboard and some are rather on the much off white side.
At coin shows I usually buy them by the 100 and not in a box or bag so also, nothing of where they are made nor by whom. I place my filled ones in a Whitman Red Two Row box and find an amazing difference in the amount needed to fill one side compared to the other.
Sure would be horrible to find out they are being made in China and from materials harmfull to coins.
As to the fitting into those 20 pocket plastic pages, I've noticed those too have many different brand names noted on the left side so that may also be a reason for different fittings of the 2x2's.
Rest in Peace

Virg Marshall makes an excellent 2x2, "Marshall Brand". They can be ordered w 2x2x9 boxes or bulk.

Cowens are real thick, off-white, and tend to yellow with age.

I try to stick with the same supplier and I'll never buy off ebay again.

I've only purchased twice from ebay and both ending in disaster. The clear plastic was just that, clear plastic and not mylar. I also had another 500 I bought that had the cardboard not squared.

I wouldn't
