Lets see your favourite non silver/gold content coin. Does not have to be an expensive.. just a favourite.. could be one with alot of sentimental value.

I will add a pic of mine when I get home

Coins in general would have to be Buffalo nickels, a sentimental coin would be a 1864 Indian Head cent from my grandparents collection.

Mine is a 1855 Frence 10 cent Napoleon III. It is XF40 and not worth the most but I just love the look

Coinmandan,

Lets see that photo! I think I've seen that coin. I had a calender with a different coin pic for each month, and I think that coin was one of the pictures. If it is the same coin, I was struck at how beautiful it was. I definitely want to get one of those.

Mine would be the 1883 no cent liberty head nickel.

I received a 1909-S VDB penny in my grandfather's penny collection from when he was a kid. Most sentimental coin to me. Best of all, it was in the wrong slot in his collection!

This is one of my favorites. The photo does not do it justice. This piece is copper about the size of a silver dollar but a little thicker. When you have it in hand and you're looking at the obverse it isn't that impressive. But when you flip it over you would swear it drops more than an inch INTO the coin. There is a lot of fine detail back in tha alcoves behind the alter at the back of the church that don't show in this picture. The mintage on this piece was two hundred pieces. Today it is considered to be rare with about 75 pieces estimated to have survived. The POP 19 you see in the picture is from a Conder token specialist who has kept record of the appearances of Conder tokens over the past 25 to 30 years. In that time he has seen 19 different pieces offered for sale. This is not my coin but I have two of them in comparable condition. I try and buy them whenever I run across them.

I love British pennies, half pennies, and farthings which contain the seated Britannia design.
