Being newly back into collecting, and finding that ebay and online sites are now the primary source likely to yield results, it is sometimes very tough to judge true "grades" from pictures. Lighting, background, focus, granularity etc. can make a dramatic difference when trying to grade coins from pics.

One of the coins I have been collecting a little is proof Franklin halves. Mainly because the later ones can be had for not that terribly much over spot and I like the look of them in proof - I'm not a huge proof lover overall, but for this coin I prefer them in proof.

I tend to find them "easier to collect" because I don't have to put that much thought and time into grading them compared to every other coin type/run I am collecting. It's kind-of all about shopping price and not much about judging TPG grade accuracy - for this type of coin, IMO. One PR64 or PR67 looks the same as darn near any another graded that way, IMO. Kind of simplifies the process when you aren't trying to judge which 62 is best or you see a 64 that looks far worse than a 62.

The whole "cameo/deep-cameo" thing comes into play some, but toning and many other considerations for grading are lessened quite a bit for these coins.

Any other coins you feel are like this - little difference between those graded the same?
