i got this coin off ebay for 3.25. My guess would be VF-25. I want to know your opinions and why.

I did notice there was a little rim damage I didn't know if that effected the grade or not.
Thanks.

In a TPG eyes, the ding on the rim would probably prevent it from getting an actual grade, but it may not, it doesn't affect the overall look of the coin that much. As for a grade, I would say VF-20. There is a nice separation from the ribbon and the lower hair curl, "LIberty" looks to be fully there, the lower bar of the head band looks intact except for a few spots where there are hits. There is over all even wear that IMO warrants a VF-20, too many hits and dings to go higher IMO.

Agree might have VF-25 or even VF-30 detail but it is banged up enough that a net grade of VF-20 seems fair

Has a nice, original "chocolate" color but yeah, the ding on rim and across E limits it to VF20.

I went with VF-25 without adding the dings into the picture. Thanks for the information on dings it will help me in the future.

The dings are a deffinate problem. I'm going with VF-20 as an overall grade.
