Suppose we can call this date a semi-key ... wondering how you folks do with these photos shot through the PCGS plastic?

You have been impressing me so far.

You-Vs-PCGS-...-1894-Liberty-Nickel

All opinions are welcome.

I'll start this one off. I'm going with AU53 on this one, although hard to tell how much luster may be present...Super nice coin!

Better date in the series. I am going to say AU50.
Looks to be luster present.
Another nice coin!

I like the coloring in your photo, hard to believe we're looking at a coin that's more than 100 years old! I'd like to go with the AU50, also. Very nice example.

I think it's JUST missing MS, so I'm going with AU-58.

I'd also be on board with AU-53. I like it.

I guess I'm going to be the 'killjoy' with my XF45 guess. I don't know a lick about this series and I would be fine with this in an AU50, but I'll go low just to be a grouch!

Again ... I say you folks are good at this.

Coin in the PCGS holder:

You-Vs-PCGS-...-1894-Liberty-Nickel

Now cracked out and in my Dansco 7111.

You-Vs-PCGS-...-1894-Liberty-Nickel

Enjoying the occasional work on my Liberty nickel set ... currently have 15 of the 33 coins ... grades XF45 to AU55.

Thanks for the replies and opinions.

Dave-
I am pretty sure you know this- - -
But just in case,
Always save the paper insert when you crack out. Good idea to have a picture of the coin inside the slab as well, just to show the connection.
